"Charlotte" is a song by Bournemouth-based band Air Traffic taken from their debut album, Fractured Life, released in July 2007. "Charlotte" was re-released on March 26, 2007, becoming the band's first proper single.

Lyric Analysis:
The song is about love, to put it bluntly. The song is sung by a male singer, he is finding 'love' hard to cope with and turns to alcohol. However, we feel that alcohol is a bad representation, and when we come to making our video we will change our story.
This song is going to feature on our Digipak titled 'Hot & Cold', this song, which is about love, fits well with this album title, as the track is named 'Charlotte' which is a girl's name, and she could be hot, in the sense of good looking, or hot towards the male singing about her. On the other hand she could also be cold towards him, which is a polar opposite.
The ideas we have for the music video will fit well with these song lyrics as we want the video to start off with a boy throwing a photograph of a girl into the fire, this shows heat.
Originally, when we were planning our music video, we did not plan for snow, but, as we live in Britain, and the weather is temperamental at the best of times, it did snow and some scenes we filmed show this, this snow within the video, shows cold and therefore links to the album title.
As this is an existing song, we have to ask permission to use it so we don't breach any copyright issues. I asked permission on 2 different websites, so I had more chance of getting a reply.
Unfortunately, we are still awaiting a reply, so we have chose to use the song anyway, as we have requested permission and hope to receive it soon.
