Planning Our Advert.

This is the first draft of our advert. Whilst drawing up this initial idea, we were fully aware of the location we were planning on having as the image in the background, this made it easier to visualise what the completed advert would look like. Our research has told us that having a large bold title and band name is a key element to creating an advert that would stand out and get the audiences attention. From my research I learnt how to create depth of focus by having the camera follow the lines on the road, going into the distance, the trees and pavement. This also makes good composition.

This draft was made with a focus on the composition. We aim for depth to be added by using a cobbled street in the background with a young man (representing Tom) walking on the right. The title and text will be displayed above this, using bold colours as planned which stand out from the background.

This is our thrid draft of our advert, it has been created to test colours, and how they contrast within the page. It also shows us different layouts and allows us to experiment with this. The blue and red of the text is bold and is able to cope with the busy background. The red is linked from the band logo and keeps the same colour scheme within our work. This warm colour also links with the colours of the leaves which show the time of year. This is further developed as in the video is set in winter, showing the progress of the band.
